Model UN

Committee: ECOSOC

Country: China

Topic: International Cooperation in Prosecuting International Crimes

Name: Ramses Segundo

Greeting Honorable Chair

Today we are here gathered to solve a problem that not only affects one country but most of them and that’s prosecuting international crimes.
Crimes have been for many years, but now people have taking those crimes onto other countries and affect other peaceful person. What is?
Crime? Crime is some one who violates the laws and can lead you to several punishments.

China has one problem there are five main reasons for China's opposition to the ICC. First, its jurisdiction is not based on the principle of voluntary acceptance; furthermore, complementarily gives the ICC the power to judge whether a state is able or willing to conduct proper trials of its own nationals. Secondly, also war crimes in internal armed conflicts fall under the jurisdiction of the ICC. Thirdly, crimes against humanity are prohibited in time of peace as well. Fourthly, the inclusion of the crime of aggression within the jurisdiction of the ICC weakens the power of the UN Security Council. Fifthly, the propriety power of the Prosecutor may make the ICC open to political influence. But not everything its negative from the other side he supports the ICC for the capture of International Crimes.

The Delegate China thinks that even if your not part of the ICC, we should help to capture this peoples that are harming peaceful person from other countries, and bring justice. The Delegate of China Thinks that to solve this problem every country should put some Interest on fighting and give opinion or suggest what type of technology we can use to capture the people who are serious killers, drug traffickers, conspiracy on making war to other countries. Those are the people who we want to capture and putting them on a maximum prison, and not harm any innocent people from other parts of the world.
